Product Description The DSC-W130 Cyber-shot(R) digital camera delivers Smile Shutter technology for automatically capturing smiles as they happen and lets you share them beautifully in HD. You can expect stunning detail, thanks to 8.1-Megapixel Resolution and a Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens. Plus, Sony's Face Detection technology controls focus, exposure, and color on up to eight individual faces, resulting in more accurate, natural skin tones. Resize your photos in-camera for virtually any purpose. 4x optical zoom brings distant subjects closer to help you capture sharp, detailed long shots and quickly frame images for better composition. Because an off-center subject can make your shot more interesting, a 9-point auto-focus measures focus at 9 precision points instead of 5, giving you greater creative freedom to compose your image. The large, bright 2.5" TFT LCD (115K Pixels) display makes it easy to compose shots, check results, and read menus in sharp natural color, even in bright sunlight. Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens Type - 4x optical, 2x digital zoom Lens Construction - 6 elements in 5 groups including 3 aspheric elements White Balance - Automatic, Cloudy, Daylight, Fluorescent 1, Fluorescent 2, Fluorescent 3, Incandescent, and Flash Self-Timer - 10 seconds, 2 seconds, and off Color Modes - Black & White, Natural, Sepia, and Vivid 9-Area Multi-Point Auto-Focus - AF, Center AF, Spot AF, and Semi Manual Focus (0.5m / 1.0m / 3.0m / 7.0m / Unlimited distance) Shutter Speed - Auto (1/4 - 1/1,600) / Program Auto (1 - 1/1,600) Exposure Compensation - Plus / Minus 2.0EV, 1 / 3EV step Flash Modes - Auto / Flash On / Slow Synchro / Flash Off Scene Modes - Smile Shutter, Beach, High Sensitivity, Landscape, Snow, Soft Snap, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, and Fireworks

Great camera January 6, 2009 Deborah D. Cline (Columbia, MD) This is a great Sony product. It is very easy to use, light weight and takes super pictures even of my Granddogs, no red eye! The battery re-charge station is a BIG improvement over older models with cords.

this is my 2nd sony 130 in a month...the battery depletes power in 3-4 days even without use.....don't trust if going on an excursion w/o backup....returning again,.....great pictures/features but no power capability on a trip....going back to my old casio exilim
Love this camera December 12, 2008 Savvy Shopper (Granada Hills, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the DSCW130 to replace an older model Cybershot which suddenly stopped working. So far I love it. It's very small, but once I got used to the size, I found it very easy to use. The photos are crystal clear and there's practically no shutter release delay. Highly recommend!
Great camera! October 4, 2008 S. Henry (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The smile detection feature is what sealed the deal. Its a great camera. The only warning is it holds 4 pictures without a memory card. I DID find an 8G memory stick duo for like $22 online so that should make it hold about 2k pics. I didn't find the ISO pics to be too blurry... but I'm not a professional photog, just a mom :) Anyhow, great camera, great pics. I recommend it based on the value.
A wonderful camera September 15, 2008 B. Bradford 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cybershop is a compact effecient camera. I have not learned about all of its features, but so far, it is very easy to use. I am very please with this purchase.
