I purchased the TCON-1.7x tele converter lens to photograph small birds from a distance of 50 feet. Considering that it is a converter, my expectations for image quality were relatively low. However, the images are much better than I expected. The color and sharpness are excellent. Due to the length of the adapter and lens, I recommend using a tripod and shutter cable to reduce shake. If you're looking for a low-cost tele for the UZ550, this one is worth the price.

I bought this lens to use with the SP-570UZ, primarily to take bird and other nature photos. It has proved to be quite sharp (even more than I expected!) and to still allow me to work with reasonably fast shutter speeds.

This teleconverter works well with a Panasonic Lumix FZ18 camera - nice to have 30+ optical zoom.

Hi, this converter will work (as expected) near to full zoom.
The images are clear, but I haven't have the time to make full tests.
